GreenHouse Integration exists to serve Houston by identifying the areas in which our city can be more connected with our environment and to implement solutions related to Green Building.

One of the most important ways to encourage a connection with our environment and to start SOLVING problems of global warming and over consumption, rather than CONTRIBUTING to it is to work on “greening” our housing stock. To that end, GreenHouse Integration will help Houston answer the following questions:
- I want to remodel (or build) my house and I want to do it "greenly"… how do I know what are the best options for my budget and my plans?
- GHI will do the research to stay up-to-date on the latest options for strategies in Houston.
- How do I find local green products and experienced professionals in the area?
- The GreenHouse Network is a database that will list local green products and describes in what applications they're best used. The GreenHouse Network also lists local reputable professionals with experience in green building and lists their credits.
- I'd like to have my home LEED Certified, but don't know where to begin...
- GHI offers consulting services to help you "green" your project, whether you're just doing a little or trying to get a LEED Platinum certification.
- I'm a general contractor and I'd love to "build green" but I can't find a well-trained "green" subcontractor in the area who knows what they're doing
- GHI will provide training for the full range of disciplines in green building techniques
- I'd like to use local reclaimed materials, but don't know how to find them…
- GHI works with local reclaimed-materials warehouses and demolition companies to find materials suitable for re-use.
- "Green Building" sounds like a nice idea, but I'm sure it'll add a ton of money to my project
- GHI knows that green building can be done on any budget and can sometimes cost LESS than conventional building. It's just a matter of getting the word out! GHI works to spread the word about the benefits of and options for building in a sustainable way.
- My kids keep coming home talking about recycling and stuff… what are they talking about??
- GHI LOVES kids! Kids are the future of our environment and will be the ones dealing with whatever mess we leave them. Might as well start educating them now! GHI makes Green FUN!
